Bhopal: A 15-year-old boy Ramzan, from Pakistan says he loves his shelter home in Bhopal, does not want to go back to his country and wants to live in India forever.
Ramzan was most pampered child of his shelter home Umeed, escaped within three weeks of his deportation to Kolkata and took the train back to Bhopal on Monday afternoon. He had been starving for three days after he reachedĀ Bhopal.
He is not talking much to anyone but says he never liked the place back in Kolkata and only loves Bhopal and want to be with his matesĀ and therefore oppose his deportation to Pakistan or Bangladesh.
Ramzan wants to be with other kids he stayed for more than three years, according to Bhopal Childline.
Archana Sahay, director Childline Bhopal chapter, while talking to TOI said: “This came as a shock for us. Every step was taken according to wish of Ramzan. It’s sad that he took such step. We have informed CWC and whatever decision the commission will take, it will be followed.”
Ramzan was separated from his mother at age of 10. His father Mohammad took him to Bangladesh and remarried.
With the hope of going to Pakistan, Ramzan crossed the border alone in 2011 after being tortured by stepmother and boarded Amarkantak Express for Jabalpur and then took train for Kolkata.
