Ramdin calls on Windies to ‘toughen up’ ahead of second Test

West Indies skipper Denesh Ramdin has called on his team mates to put up a better display of cricket in the second and final Test match against Australia next week in Jamaica.

West Indies suffered a nine-wicket defeat on Saturday inside three days in the first Test in Dominica.

Debutant Australian batsman Adam Voges was adjudged Man of the Match for scoring his maiden century (130 not out) in the first innings.

Ramdin said that Australia are a very good unit, insisting that they need to play a lot tougher cricket when they are in positions of strength, Sport24 reported.

Reflecting on the resistance displayed by the fourth-wicket pair of Shane Dowrich and Marlon Samuels, who put on 144 runs, Ramdin said that it would have been better if they could have taken it to 200-plus. (ANI)
