Ramdev suggests Modi to disallow cow slaughter in India

New Delhi: Speaking against cow slaughter in India, Yoga guru Swami Ramdev on Sunday said that if Prime Minister Narendra Modi takes an initiative then killing of cows can be curtailed in the country.

“Killing cow is also violence and killing people for it is also violence. Both kinds of violence must be stopped in the nation,” Ramdev was quoted as saying by ANI.

“If cow slaughter can be forbidden in the most sensitive area like UP then if PM Modi initiates it can be prohibited in the entire country. If implemented then there will be no killing of cows and bloodshed between Hindus and Muslims,” he added.
