Bhopal, June 16: In his latest salvo against Baba Ramdev, Congress leader Digvijaya Singh compared him to the maulana of Lal Masjid in Pakistan, saying both fled wearing women’s clothes when faced with police action.
Calling them fundamentalists, Singh said both spoke a lot against corruption and wanted the corrupt hanged.
“All fundamentalists are essentially cowards and run away at the first sign of challenge,” he said gesturing with his feet at the Indian Coffee House in Bhopal.
Using colorful language against the yoga guru and his aide Acharya Balkrishna, he called the former a fraud and the latter a criminal from Nepal. Singh said Ramdev was on the run and even questioned his ability to teach proper yoga.
Singh said he did not start criticising Ramdev after his fast in June but took on him in April-end itself.
