Ramdev has all right to enter politics: Amar Singh

Ballia, March 14: Coming in support of Baba Ramdev, Lok Manch founder Amar Singh on Monday said the yoga guru has all the right to enter politics.

“Baba Ramdev is a physician and has all the right to make a foray into politics,” the expelled Samajwadi Party leader told reporters here.

He said the recent attack on Ramdev by some political parties over his campaign against corruption was unnecessary.

Referring to disproportionate asset cases against some politicians, the former SP leader also termed the attack on the UPA government at the Centre on the corruption issue as unwarranted.

In reply to a question, he said his proposed political outfit would align with any other party which is not against the creation of a Poorvanchal state.

Singh said he would announce the name of his political party after getting permission from the Election Commission.

“I hope the EC will soon grant permission,” he said.

Taking a potshot at SP head Mulayam Singh Yadav and BSP chief Mayawati, he said “whether they are good politicians or nor, but they are good village heads of the state.”
