Ramanamurthy is the new CID chief

Hyderabad, January 08: Senior IPS officer S V Ramanamurthy became the new chief of Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Andhra Pradesh. He was among the nine IPS officers who were transferred and given a new posting today.

Ramanamurthy will replace A Sivanarayana who has been posted as the Additional DGP, Coordination.

Among the 1986 batch IPS officers who were recently promoted from IGPs to Additional DGPs, V S K Kaumudi, who was working as IG, CID has been posted as Additional DGP, Railways while Rajiv Trivedi, Additional Director of AP Police Academy, has been retained in APPA as Special Director.

M Mahendar Reddy, who was IGP, Intelligence has been retained in the same in the rank of Additional DGP. R P Thakur, who was working as IG, Warangal region, has been posted as Additional DGP, Technical Services in the existing vacancy.

Vinay Ranjan Ray, IG, Training has been posted as Director General, Fire Services and he will replace Aruna M Bahuguna who has been posted as Additional DGP, Training.

T Krishna Prasad, Director, Police Communications has been posted as Additional DGP, Road Safety which is a newly created post to tackle road accidents and related issues in the state.
