Raipur, April 07: The Opposition Congress in Chhattisgarh today held the Raman Singh Government responsible for Dantewada Naxal attack which claimed the lives of 76 security personnel and demanded that it should quit on moral grounds.
The Intelligence Department was completely oblivious to the huge gathering of Naxalites in the forests. It shows that the government is not serious in its fight against the ultras, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Ravindra Choubey said.
“Raman Singh government is responsible for the death of security personnel and therefore they should quit on moral grounds,” he said.
“Off and on Naxal attacks keep taking place in the state and the chief minister, home minister and police are content with just issuing a statement on such incidents. It seems they are not serious in their resolve to fight Naxalism,” state Congress President Dhandendra Sahu said.
