Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh expressed his condolence on the passing away of the Governor Balram Das Tandon on Tuesday.
He said, “It’s a big loss for Chhattisgarh and a personal loss for me. He was a father figure to all of us. People of Chhattisgarh will always remember him”.
Chhattisgarh Governor Balram Tandon passed away in Raipur on Tuesday after being admitted to a hospital in the state capital. He was 90 years of age.
He was appointed as the sixth Governor of Chhattisgarh in 2014. He was instrumental in establishing the foothold of Bhartiya Janta Party in Punjab. He also served as the Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab between 1969-70. (ANI)
