With almost ten days to go for Ramadan, preparations are still incomplete at Makkah Masjid. White washing, renovation and other works are still incomplete. During his recent visit Minority Welfare Minister Mohammed Ahmedulalh had assured that the work will be completed ahead of Ramadan but the present situation is quite contrary to his promise.
It is also said that the budget allotted by the government for the Makkah Masjid and Shahi Masjid, Public Garden has not been completely released. The budget allotted for the salaries of workers is also insufficient.
The Musallis have appealed the government to complete the work on war-footing before Ramadan so that their worship doesn’t get disturbed during the Holy Month.
