Ramachandraiah seeks immediate loan waiver by TDP govt in AP

Andhra Pradesh Leader of the Opposition in Legislative Council C Ramachandraiah today demanded Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu take immediate steps for waiving loans to farmers.

“I demand Chandrababu Naidu not to indulge in dilatory tactics. We are fully aware what lone is to be waived. There is no necessity for constituting a committee and giving 45 and 50 days time to submit the report…. We need action,” he told reporters here.

Holding that Naidu came to power on the loan-waiver plank, Ramachandraiah wondered why the TDP government could not waive the loans.

“There may be contraints… As a ruler who has ruled the state for nine years and a leader of the opposition for 10 years and a keen observer of government administration, he should have been aware about all these things before he made the promise,” he added.

The Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council also urged the Chief Minister to ensure further supply of grains for farmers with the monsoon setting in Andhra Pradesh.
