New Delhi: Ram temple is not an election issue for BJP but a matter of faith which never changes, Union minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti said on Friday.
“Ram Mandir is the centre point of our faith and not an election issue as issues get changed but not faith,” the Minister of State for Food Processing said.
“BJP government was at blame for the demolition of Babri Masjid, but the central government of that time removed BJP governments in four states,” Jyoti said in reply to a query.
She launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh saying ‘goonda elements’ are ruling the roost.
“SP and BSP have looted the people of the state and people want freedom from the two parties now,” she said.
Jyoti said Prime Minister Narendra Modi wanted development in the state but “none of the other parties want development reasoning that if the state is developed all the other parties will lose their base”.
