Hyderabad: Former Member of Parliament Nizamabad K.Kavitha today tied rakhi to her brother and Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development K.Tarak Rama Rao on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan at Pragathi Bhawan and offered sweet to him. Later she tied the Rakhi to Member of Parliament Santosh Kumar and greeted him also.
State Minister Satyavati Rathod, Legislator G.Sunita, G.Sudha Rani, and other women leaders also tied the Rakhi to K.Tarak Rama Rao who is also working president of TRS. On this occasion, Rathod said that It is a great festival where women love to share their attachment, utmost love, and affection towards their brothers.
The Ruling TRS party has posted the images of the ceremony of Rakshabandhan which was held at Pragathi Bhawan. Tarak Rama Rao has retweeted these posts through his tweeter handle.
Women wing leaders of the Ruling TRS party also tied the rakhis to the Minister for Finance Harish Rao who inturn wished on the occasion of Rakhsha Bandhan to the people of the state.
Similarly, Minister of State for Roads-Buildings, Housing, and Legislative Affairs Vemula Prashant Reddy wished the people on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan and maintained that this festival symbolizes the bond of the siblings. Prashant Reddy urged all brothers and sisters to celebrate the festival in compliance with government norms in the wake of the Corona.
Meanwhile, Raksha Bandhan is being held across the state to symbolize the attachment of sisters and brothers. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
In a message, the Chief Minister said Rakhi symbolizes the thread of love and affection between brothers and sisters. It also denotes the commitment to secure honor and respect for women.
Mr Rao reiterated his government’s commitment to the safety and dignity of women in the state.
