Mumbai, December 07: Stand up comedian Bharti Singh was at the receiving end of Rakhi’s unique brand of insaaf at the Zee Rishtey 2011 recently.
An eyewitness revealed, “”Bharti was in her ‘Udi Baba’ element for the event and was taking potshots at every possible celebrity, when Rakhi’s turn came, Singh said, ‘Rakhi logon ki shaadiyon mein dance karti hai. Ek shaadi mein baraat mein dance kar rahi thi aur dulhe ke jija ne bola ki waah Rakhi kya dance kiya! Toh Rakhi boli, dance nahi, mere skirt mein cockroach ghus gaya tha’.
An enraged Rakhi then threw a plastic bottle at her.”” When contacted, Rakhi said, “”Yes, I did throw the bottle at Bharti as she along with her co-host Mona Singh were making digs at me. People are either busy making spoofs on me or having fun at my expense and I have had enough of that. I had gone there for the channel and a few friends. I least expected this to happen. Initially, Ali Asgar dressed as Vidya Balan sat on my lap, which hurt my legs but I took it sportingly. However, what Bharti did was uncalled for and I am no saas-bahu saga’s coy bahu, who would take such insults lying down.””
