Congress leaders celebrated Raksha Bandhan festival in a grand manner at Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday.
School students, former minister Dr J Geetha Reddy and other women activists tied rakhis to the TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy, CLP Leader K Jana Reddy, TPCC Working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council Shabbir Ali. On this occasion, Uttam Kumar Reddy conveyed Raksha Bhandhan wishes to the women of the Telangana State.
At Raj Bhavan, Governor ESL Narasimhan participated in rakhi celebrations. Brahmakumaris and students tied rakhis to the Governor on the occasion. The Governor conveyed his greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States.
Several TRS women leaders and activists tied rakhis to Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao. In Mahbubnagar, several women tied rakhis to Health Minister C. Laxma Reddy.
