Rakesh Sharma Biopic: After ‘Zero’ failed, Bollywood King Khan replaced by this Actor

Mumbai: Bollywood’s King Khan has been replaced in the Spaceman Rakesh Sharma’s biopic, Saare Jahaan Se Achcha reports suggest.

Apparently, the Director has found a new lead in Vicky Kaushal, News18 reports.

Not only this, but reports are also circulating about replacing Shahrukh Khan as the lead man in Uri: The Surgical Strike.

Now speculations are Shah Rukh has also been dropped out of the upcoming Don 3.

According to sources, initially the Director chose Aamir Khan as his original lead of Saare Jahaan Se Achcha, but the actor had to drop out of the project to focus on his ambitious project Mahabharata.

The writer Anjum Rajabali at that time had then said, “Frankly, I was very keen that Aamir should do the film. He liked the script, we discussed it a lot and we had a lot of hopes about it. Unfortunately, Aamir is consumed with a larger sort of project called Mahabharat.”

After Aamir dropped out, Shah Rukh was approached for the lead to play Rakesh Sharma in Saare Jahaan Se Achcha.

He was also very keen on playing the role but since Zero failed to make an impact at the box-office, speculations are Shah Rukh has been dropped out.

According to sources the producers Ronnie Screwvala (Uri: The Surgical Strike) and Siddharth Roy Kapur have finalised Vicky after his much appreciated performance in Uri: The Surgical Strike that is still running in theatres across the country.

Meanwhile, Things are working out well with Vicky as work has been resumed in the forefront affairs as he has also begun to prepare for the role and shall begin the shoot once the track has finalized the dates.

“Vicky was the ultimate choice after Shah Rukh opted out. Ronnie has given him his career’s biggest commercial hit in Uri and there’s no way Vicky could have said no, especially for a big-budget film like Saare Jahaan Se Achcha.”
