Rakesh Asthana case: Delhi High Court denies relief to middleman

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has dismissed the middlemen Manoj Prasad’s bail plea today who is involved in the bribery case allegedly involving CBI Special Director Rakesh Asthana.

Justice Najmi Waziri has dismissed the plea denying relief to Prasad noting that the charges leveled against him in the bribery case were serious.

Prasad’s relief plea was opposed by Additional Solicitor General Vikramjit Banerjee and Advocate Rajdipa Behura both appearing for the CBI.

They argued that the case investigation is at a crucial stage and Prasad’s charges in the case are different from that of other accused, PTI reports.
