Kashim Kanasavi received the prestigious award from Chief Minister Siddaramaiah
Bagalkot: The Government of Karnataka announced the Rajyotsava awards for the year 2014. The awardees included 59 noted eminent individuals from various fields on the occasions of the 59th anniversary of the Karnataka state formation day.
Kashim Kanasavi of Ilkal, Bagalkot is a painter (Fine arts) received the prestigious award which was given away at the Ravindra Kalakshetra in Bangalore on November 1, 2014 by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in presence of Kannada and Culture Minister Umashree, and others.
Mr Kanasavi runs art gallery in Ilkal, is presently art teacher and serving as a Karnataka Lalithakala Academy member. Apart from this he has organized several events to create awareness on various topics in state. He took part in major art event in different parts of the country and earned the name in the field of fine arts (painting). His painting are occupied the places of noted offices and hotel in the state.
