Panaji, (Goa) [India], Nov 21 (ANI): Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore today inaugurated a multi-media digital exhibition on Mahatma Gandhi at the International Film festival of India (IFFI) in Panaji, Goa.
The ‘Mahatma on celluloid’ exhibition showcased a state-of-the-art digital experience to viewers who can get inspiration from the life and learning of the father of the nation.
The National Film Archives (NFAI) of India in collaboration with the Bureau of Outreach and Communication will hold a multi-media digital exhibition as a tribute to the Mahatma, who inspired countries around the world with his philosophy of truth and non-violence (Satyagraha and Ahimsa).
“It is a very interactive exhibition. This exhibition has been taken around the entire country earlier but now we have brought it here in Goa,” said Rathore.
The exhibition will run throughout the festival at the Kala Academy and is open for public.
The IFFI 2018 opening ceremony saw an informal tete-a-tete between Rathore, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and filmmaker Karan Johar about sports and cinema. It also included the launch of the Web Portal of Film Facilitation Office (FFO) by Rathore.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting set up the Film Facilitation Office (FFO) in NFDC in 2015 with a view to promote and facilitate film shootings by foreign filmmakers in India, the services of which have now been extended to Indian filmmakers as well.
