Hyderabad, August 19: Dr Ajit Kumar of the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences has said that the liver of Ramalinga Raju, former chairman of the Satyam Computers was badly damaged.
Talking to the media after Ramalinga Raju was granted bail by the High Court on Wednesday, the doctor who was attending on him said that the accused has been suffering from Hepatitis C since the last six months. Stating that there was only one treatment for the disease the world over, Dr Ajit Kumar said that the doctors at NIMS had administered 30injections to him and there was need for giving 18 more. He said that the treatment would take another 15 weeks.
Replying to questions, Dr Ajit Kumar said that the condition of Raju was improving at times and deteriorating at others. He has however hoped that Raju would recover soon.
