Rajnath Singh meets RSS leaders

Newly appointed Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday met top Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leaders.

According to reports, Rajnath met RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and sangh leader Suresh Soni to deliberate on the issue of the next Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president.

The BJP and RSS will be facing a daunting task to elect the next party president, especially after Rajnath’s eventful stint, who successfully stitched pre-poll alliance with other political parties and also pacified senior party leaders on contentious issues like appointment of Modi as BJP’s PM nominee.

At present Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s close aide Amit Shah and party general secretary JP Nadda’s names are doing round for the BJP president’s post.

Rajnath assumed the charge of the Home Ministry today.
