Mumbai: Amid threats to block Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, senior film producers met Home Minister Rajnath Singh and said they were assured that the film would release without any violence and all cinemas would get 100 per cent police protection.
The Home Minister said he will speak to CM of every state and assured producers that ADHM will release without any problems.
“Rajnath Singh ji assured us 100% support and that he will convey to Chief Ministers to maintain law and order. He said he will speak to CM of every state and that ADHM will release without any violence or issue,” Mukesh Bhatt said after the meet.
The movie, which stars Fawad Khan, ran into trouble after Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) said they won’t let any movie featuring Pakistani artistes release in India.
Karan Johar released a video statement declaring “for me, my country comes first. Nothing else matters but my country” and pledged that he will not use Pakistani artists in future projects.
