Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has approved the providing of three acres of land on lease to the Kendriya Vidyalayas by the Border Security Force (BSF) each at Sunderbani (Jammu and Kashmir), Chakur (Maharashtra) and Aradhpur (West Bengal).
Presently, Kendriya Vidyalaya at Station Head Quarter, BSF, Sunderbani has started functioning from October 16, 2010 up to XIth standard. The Kendriya Vidyalaya at Chakur started on September 1, 2010 up to VIIIth standard whereas the Kendriya Vidyalaya at Aradhpur started on April 26, 2011 up to VIIIth standards.
The BSF had requested for the approval of this land by the Ministry of Home Affairs so that the Kendriya Vidyalayas running at the above three BSF locations as approved by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi, can have its own school buildings.
The Home Minister has approved the transfer of three acre land on lease basis to each of the above mentioned three Kendriya Vidyalayas so that the children of the BSF personnel can get better facilities in their schools . (ANI)
