New Delhi: Two days after a deadly militant attack on a CRPF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday reviewed the security situation in the state.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Union Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi and heads of intelligence agencies along with other senior government officials attended the meeting, official sources said.

During the meeting, the minister voiced concern over Saturday’s attack near Pampore and directed authorities concerned to step up security across the state.

Eight Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed and 22 others wounded when terrorists attacked their bus near the Jammu and Kashmir town.

According to the sources, the officials reviewed and analysed the overall security arrangements in Jammu and Kashmir.
