Union of Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday applauded the alliance between the Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP) and the People’s Democratic Party ( PDP), adding that this is the first time that his party has been instrumental in forming the government in J-K.
I believe whatever problems the J-K people are facing, this government will be able to solve them,” said Rajnath Singh.
He added that the two political parties have formed a government in J-K based on the Common Minimum Program.
Singh however refused to react on Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s controversial statement regarding separatists ‘allowing’ the J-K assembly elections to take place peacefully.
“I don’t want to give any reaction on his statement,” said Rajnath Singh.
Earlier in the day, Sayeed stoked a controversy by stating that the Hurriyat, Pakistan and militants had allowed a conducive atmosphere for the recently held assembly polls in the state.(ANI)
