New Delhi: Expressing his deep sorrow and grief on the murder of M.M. Khan, Deputy Law Officer of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs.25 lakh next of kin to the slain officer.
The Union Home Minister conveyed his deepest condolence to the family of Khan, saying every possible support would be given to the family of the deceased. In his message, Singh noted that Khan was a dedicated and honest employee of the NDMC.
The Home Minister said that the Ministry of Home Affairs and the NDMC stand united with the family of late M.M. Khan in their moment of grief.
The Delhi Police have apprehended all the seven accused in the murder Khan within 48 hours of the incident.
Following the directions of the Home Minister, the NDMC has offered a job to the wife of late M.M. Khan on compassionate grounds.
The NDMC has also been directed to extend every possible support to the family of the deceased.
The employees of NDMC have also shown their solidarity to the family of Khan and have decided to contribute their one-day salary to the bereaved family.
On Monday morning, the hired assassins rode their motorcycle right up to Khan’s car and knocked on the window. The moment Khan rolled it down, the assassins pumped bullets into his chest and drove away. A blood-splattered Khan managed to drive home but collapsed once out of the car.
Mohammad Moin Khan was allegedly shot dead in Jamia Nagar at a crowded street on Monday evening when he was his way back home.
The helmet wearing assailants reportedly named Umesh and Bilal intercepted Khan’s car and shot at him from a close range, before fleeing from the spot. (ANI)
