Hyderabad, April 08: The governing council of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) has decided to pursue the special leave petition filed in the Supreme Court requesting for a final judgment with regard to the statute 13 (3) of the RGUKT Act.
A sub-committee has been appointed to study the matter and submit a report with recommendations on the course of action within two weeks. In a release, the RGUKT registrar S Satyanarayana stated that the university will come out with an announcement regarding admissions for the year 2011 shortly based on the recommendations of sub-committee. The admissions for the new academic year were not announced till date due to a case pending in the apex court.
The admissions to the first year of its six-year integrated B.Tech programme was conducted following the ‘Mandal Best’ (toppers in each mandal) method which is based on the statute.
