Jaipur: Right-wing activists disrupted Christmas celebrations in Rajasthan alleging religious conversions.
According to the news published in Hindustan Times, activists disrupted X-Mas celebrations at Pratapgarh in Rajasthan on Tuesday.
They alleged that the organizers of the event were converting people to Christianity.
In the video which went viral, a number of activists can be seen protesting the alleged religious conversion.
It may be mentioned that the event was organized by the Pratapgarh branch of the ‘Masih Shakti Samiti’ in which tribals were invited.

Meanwhile, the coordinator of the event, Karu Lal told that nearly 20 people attacked them at around 7:30 p.m.
He alleged that police accompanied the activists. He further alleged that police took two tribals into custody and later released them the next morning.
Giving the details of the event, he said that they had obtained permission from Additional Collector for organizing the event. However, the Addl. Collector had asked the organizers to get police permission also.
When organizers approached local police station for getting permission, cops took the Xerox copy of the permission letter and asked them to go ahead with the event as scheduled. However, police did not give written permission to the organizers.
On the other hand, SP of Pratapgarh, Mr. Shivraj Meena dismissed the allegations of vandalism and said that the organizers did not obtain necessary permission to hold the event. He further said that the organizers themselves stopped the program when police went to the spot.
