Rajasthan govt. to introduce insurance for camels

Jaipur, May 10: Alarmed over fast depleting number of camels in Rajasthan, the state government is planning to introduce insurance scheme for the animal.

State Agriculture Minister Harji Ram Burdak told reporters in Ratangarh town of Churu district today that the government was planning to launch the insurance scheme for camels to promote camel husbandry.

“We are working on several new schemes for farming and animal husbandry sectors. It includes insurance for camels also, which would be launched soon,” he said.
