Jaipur: In a first in the state and breaking the stereotype, Rajasthan has got its first woman Qazi.
Jahan Ara becomes the first woman Qazi of Rajasthan after completing her two-year training course from Mumbai-based Darul Uloom-i-Nisawa. The Jaipur-based woman was handed over her certificate for ‘Qaziyat’ on Friday. Now, she can officially be called Qazi Jahan Ara.
Elaborating about being first woman Qazi, Jahan Ara said they are running a campaign as they are associated with National Women Welfare Association. She added that she has become a Qazi and she will ensure that women get all the rights on ground, which they have according to Islam.
