Unfazed by his dismissal and beating a retreat to Hyderguda Apollo Hospital for a check-up again here on Wednesday, former deputy chief minister Dr T Rajaiah today said he was ready for any sort of inquiry into the alleged corruption and irregularities charged against him.
A section of the media claimed that Rajaiah got himself admitted in the Apollo hospital only to ‘escape’ from an inquiry reportedly ordered by the State government on the alleged corruption charges and irregularities in the Health department during his stint as health minister.
While coming out of the hospital, Rajaiah urged Telangana Government to conduct an inquiry to uncover the real culprits and facts about corruption charges. “I am ready to accept any punishment” if proved guilty of corruption charges, a perturbed Rajaiah told media persons. He reiterated that he would not leave the TRS and continue to work under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
It may be noted that Rajaiah had to join the hospital followed by a mild stroke on Tuesday evening. However, he was discharged the same night and got back to the hospital on doctors advice for another check-up on Wednesday. Seemed to be relieved a bit, Rajaiah said he would be working for the TRS and was ready to face any punishment if the corruption charges are proved.
TRS MLA G. Balaraju, who met Rajaiah at the hospital, told mediapersons that Dalit organisations should stop protesting against the TRS Government. To keep his promise of giving a corruption-free government, KCR removed a deputy chief minister from office and not a Dalit leader. Instead of understanding the situation, the Dalit associations were trying to misguide the people, he charged. (NSS)
