Former MP S Rajaiah on Tuesday demanded that Telangana Government convene an all-party meeting on the issue of Polavaram Project.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here, Rajaiah said that the TRS Government has failed to take up the issue of Polavaram Project with the Centre. He said the State Government should not remain silent over the merger of seven mandals of Khammam districts with Seemandhra. He said that the Telangana Congress was ready to cooperate with the government on the Polavaram issue. However, he said that the Congress would resort to agitation if the TRS Govt fails to protect the interest of Telangana State. (INN)
