Rajagopal nails rumors of his quitting Congress

Declaring that he has no differences with the TPCC leadership, Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy here on Wednesday made it clear that there was no iota of truth in the media that he was contemplating to quit the party and join the ruling TRS party.

 

Talking to mediapersons here today, Rajagopal Reddy said he would not leave the Congress party under any circumstances. Asserting that the Congress would bounce back to power in Telangana State in the 2019 Assembly elections, Rajagopal Reddy observed that the countdown of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has begun with his tricks of luring the Congress leaders. Nailing reports of his quitting the Congress, Rajagopal said it was not proper for the people, including his elder brother Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, to make anti-Congress comments. He also admitted that the Congress lost the battle of the ballot due to intra-party feuding and fielding of weak candidates in the previous election.

Rajagopal Reddy advised those who were inclining to defect to the ruling party for selfish gains to reconsider their plans. He also disapproved the criticism of the TRS ministers, leaders against the TJAC chairman Prof. M Kodandaram. (NSS)
