Hyderabad, January 28: (Siasat News) Raja Singh, TDP Corporator made an unsuccessful attempt to create disturbance in the city by organizing Aarti programme at Bhagyalakshmi Mandir at Charminar. Panic spread when 200 activists of Hindu Vahini suddenly reached the temple and started ringing the bell and conducted Aarti Programme just before the Friday prayer began. Raja Singh was earlier arrest at 10’o clock from his residence at Mangalhat and shifted to Banjara Hills police station.
A few days ago in a photograph published in a newspaper, it was shown that a woman police constable was stopping people from ringing bell as it was causing disturbance in the prayers of the Muslims. Taking advantage of it, Raja Singh had performed pooja in that temple by ringing the bell and had planned the pooja programme on a mass scale on the occasion of Friday Prayer. On receiving information, the intelligence sources prevented Raja Singh for participating in Pooja programme. Hindu Vahini activists started taking rounds around Charminar after pooja they were arrested. Raja Singh was released after Friday prayer.
