HYDERABAD: After the saffron surge in U.P, BJP is set to expand its base, happily misunderstanding that it may strengthen its roots in Hyderabad as well.
The saffron party’s MLA T Raja Singh Lodh, who represents Goshamahal Assembly segment in Hyderabad, on Monday announced that he would quit his post if Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao fails to fulfill his promise of rehabilitating poor residents of Dhoolpet area.
“With the Government’s ban on Gudumba making, more than 3,000 poor families had stopped making Gudumba. However, the crackdown on locals without an alternative source of income had left them in lurch,” he said in a letter to the CM.
“You have promised that you would personally visit this area and discuss about the problems of the people. But, you have not kept your promise. I request you to immediately pay visit to the area or else consider this letter as my resignation from the membership of the state Assembly,” the MLA told the CM in his letter.
