BJP MLA Raja Singh on Thursday raised the issue of cow slaughter and illegal purchase and sale of other cattle during Zero Hour. He demanded that the government take action against the buyers and sellers irrespective of the religion they belong to. He alleged that violating the law the cattle are shifted to the city and were slaughtered in the abattoirs.
Citing some private slaughter houses he said that the beef of the cattle slaughtered in those abattoirs was being exported to foreign countries. He appealed to take action against people selling indigenous cows be they Hindus or Muslims.
Legislative Affairs Minister T Harish Rao has assured the BJP MLA that the State Government would send reply on the issue.
