Raja singh demand Improve working conditions for police constable

BJP MLA D Raja Singh on Monday demanded that the State Government take immediate steps to improve the working condition of policemen in the State.

Raising the issue during Zero Hour in the State Legislative Assembly, Raja Singh pointed out that constables were not getting timely promotions compared to other government employees. Similarly, they are forced to work on 24-hour shift, which is both tiring and inhuman. He demanded that proper accommodation be provided to constables. He also demanded increase in monthly pay scales of Home Guards.

The BJP also urged the government to fill the vacancies in the police department. Responding to this, Deputy Chief Minister Mehmood Ali said that the government would look into his demands.

Earlier during Zero Hour, CPI (M) MLA Sunnam Rajaiah demanded release of salaries for IKP employees. He alleged that the employees did not get their salaries for the last 17 months and therefore, living in deplorable conditions.

MIM MLA Maozam Khan brought the attention of the House on bad condition of roads connecting NH 7. He said the roads from Aramgarh – Bahadurpura, Kishanbagh – Bahadurpura and Aramgarh – Katedhan was in bad shape and the R&B Department should be directed to take immediate repairs. (INN)
