Firozabad, October 14: Bollywood actor of yesteryears and Congress candidate Raj Babbar today filed his nomination papers for Firozabad Lok Sabha seat and declared assets worth over Rs 11 crore, which also included his wife Nadira Babbar assets.
Babbar, who was accompanied by AICC general secretary Dijvijay Singh and UPCC president Rita Bahuguna Joshi after filing nominations said that he will definitely win the elections, as the UPA government had done a lot for the people of the country.
According to affidavit filed, Raj Babbar has Rs 4.4 lakh cash in hand, while his wife Nadira has Rs 50,000.
Besides, Babbar has bank deposits worth Rs 2.709 crore, and wife Nadira has Rs 1.70 crore in banks and fixed deposits, the affidavit said.
The yesteryear actor has an investment of Rs 26.91 lakh, while his wife has Rs 5.45 lakh in shares and mutual funds.
