Chandigarh: Rains lashed a few places in Punjab and Haryana today even as the maximum temperature hovered close to normal levels in the two neighbouring states.
Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recorded a maximum temperature of 32.6 degrees Celsius, the MeT Department report said here.
In Haryana, Ambala, which was lashed by 29 mm rains, recorded a high of 30.7 degrees C, one notch below normal.
Hisar recorded a high of 34.5 degrees C.
In Punjab, Amritsar, which received light rain, recorded a high of 32.5 degrees C.
Ludhiana registered a maximum of 32.8 degrees C while Patiala, which was lashed by 16 mm rain, settled at a high of 31.7 degrees C.
