Crops over 20,000 hectares were lost due to unseasonal rains during the last three days across the Telangana State.
According to preliminary estimates of the State Government, maximum damage has been reported from Karimnagar district where crops spread across 15,000 hectares have been were damaged. While crops over 7,000 hectares have been lost in Nizamabad, about 6,500 hectares of crops were lost in Nalgonda district.
Similarly, in about 19,000 hectares of Horticulture crops have been lost and Medak is on top with 5,467 hectares, followed by Karimnagar – 4,370 Ha and Warangal – 2,600 Ha. (INN)
