Rainfall continued to batter city and threw road and rail traffic out of gear, turning key thoroughfares into cesspool. Low-lying areas of the city were inundated by incessant rainfall.
According to the Met department, 31. 4 mm rainfall was recorded till late evening. At least 17 trees were uprooted at different parts of the city. Major water logging was reported at Nampally, Chaderghat, Nadeem Colony, Talab Katta, Shaheen Nagar etc.
Eight trains were cancelled and 27 trains diverted on Monday as part of the railway tracks near Dornakal in Warangal district were flooded.
