Shimla: The withdrawal of monsoon may be delayed by a few days in Himachal Pradesh as rain or thunderstorm is likely to occur from October 2, MeT department officials said today.
However, the weather would remain mainly dry in the region from September 30 to October 1, they said.
Una was the hottest at 32.6 degrees Celsius followed by Bhuntar 32, Sundernagar 30.8, Nahan 28.6, Solan 28.4, Dharamshala 27.2, Manali 24.0, Shimla 23.6 and Kalpa 22.6.
Rains occurred at some places in the past 24-hours, the MeT reported.
Dharamsala received 44mm of rainfall, Bangana 21mm, Kangra 13mm, Sarkaghat 6mm and Nadaun 5mm.
Minimum temperature at tribal districts of Kalpa and Keylong was 6 degrees Celsius, Lahaul and Spiti 7.3, Manali 11.6, Shimla 14.3, Bhuntar 14.5, Palampur 15.0, Dharamsala 15.4, Solan 17.7, Sundernagar 18.5, Nahan 19.7 and Una 22.5.
MeT officials said as dry weather prevails in most parts of Himachal Pradesh, the monsoon deficit, from June 1 to September 28, has increased to 26 per cent with the region receiving an average rainfall of 623.7 mm against a normal of 859.8 mm.
Rain deficit Lahaul and Spiti was 77 per cent, 57 per cent in Chamba, 56 per cent in Kinnaur, 33 per cent in Sirmaur and 14 per cent in Kangra.
It was a marginal four to 10 per cent in Mandi, Bilaspur, Una and Hamirpur.
Kullu and Shimla received 9 per cent and 3 per cent excess rainfall respectively.
