Hyderabad, August 27: Jummatul vida was observed with religious fervour in the city. The largest congregation was seen at Makkah masjid where lakhs of Muslims offered Friday prayers. However rain continued in short intervals on Friday. Though it was light rain yet the shopping in the last days of Holy Ramadan affected due to it.
Every year the shopping splendour seemed to be in its full swing following Friday prayers which was somewhat affected yesterday due to rain. In view of the large number of worshippers coming to perform Friday prayers at Makkah Masjid the roads leading to Charminar and Pathergatti were blocked before prayers.
Though people could not head for market after prayers due to rain however shopping spree was back again after iftaar.
