Railway Police to check pirated VCDs/DVDs sale in trains

The State Railway Police and Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce will launch a joint drive to curb video piracy in the State.

According to ADG (Railways) VSK Kaumudi, the Railway Police in addition to taking necessary action to curb video piracy by booking cases against the vendors selling pirated VCDs/DVDs in running trains, will be extending their cooperation to the staff of Anti Video Piracy cell of Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce, as requested by them.

Thus, the legal provisions of AP exhibition of films on television screen through Video Cassette Recorder Regulation Act 1993 are complied with, he said. (INN)
