Railway official caught while taking bribe

Hyderabad, January 13: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today trapped a senior railway official here while allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 20,000.

V Murali Mohan Rao, a 1986 batch Indian Traffic Service officer who is presently posted as DGM of IRCTC (South Central Zone), had demanded Rs 20,000 from the complainant, and was caught red-handed, said CBI Joint Director (Hyderabad Zone) V V Lakshmi Narayana.

Rao had allegedly asked for Rs 20,000 monthly. Search of his house revealed Rs 6.8 lakh in cash, jewelery and other property documents.
