Railway Minister assures to take up city related projects

Union Minister for Railways Suresh Prabhu has positively responded to take up railway related projects of twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

The Union Minister had responded to a representation given to him by Excise Minister T Padma Rao Goud recently. He has replied to Goud that he would get all the issues examined and acknowledged the representation.

Some of the important issues represented by Padma Rao Goud include immediate steps for starting MMTS Phase II works with connectivity to various sub-urbs like Bolarum, Bhongir, Shamshabad Airport; Electrification of Secunderabad -Bolarum-Medchal Line; Immediate steps for developing Secunderabad, Kachiguda and Nampally as World Class Stations; Starting of new terminals at Moulali, Lingampally and Malkagiri and introduction of new trains to Ajmir, Shirdi, Tiruvananthapuram.

Padma Rao had also requested for expansion of RUBs at Bhoiguda, James Street, Bible House, Minister Road, Lalaguda (Konda Reddy Nager) and construction of ROB/RUBs Gautamnager, Safilguda, Vajpayeenager, Lingampally etc., Renovation of Railway Quarters which are in dilapidated condition at Chilkalguda, North Lalaguda, South Lalaguda, Vijayapuri, Sitaphalmandi, Hamalibashi, Bhoiguda and immediate starting of Medical College, Nursing College and Hockey Academy.
