Vijayawada, September 26: If we would have known the condition before, we would not have started from home. We are helpless now with no food, shelter and not even enough money left with us, said a woman, who was stranded at the Vijayawada railway station due to the TJAC rail roko while trying to make laugh her sobbing one and half year old baby. The woman boarded a train at Nagpur with her husband, who is working with a private company in Hyderabad.
This is not the lone case, many passengers, who got struck at the city railway station with cancellation of trains in view of the rail roko called by TJAC for separate Telangana, have their stories of suffering.
The Sakala Janula Samme launched 10 days ago has not only thrown the normal life of cities and towns in Telangana region, has made the life of the stranded railway passengers from other states miserable.
People in large number from various state including Odisha, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal who boarded trains to Hyderabad were stranded at Vijayawada railway station. Passengers including mothers, children and senior citizen are desperate to board trains to reach their destinations once the rail roko is over.
Passengers are not even able to contact their families, who are in various apprehensions about them. “As I have no mobile phone, I am not able to contact my family, who were eagerly waiting for my arrival in Tamil Nadu, said Rohan from Kanpur.
