Ranchi, November 02: Income Tax raids on properties of Jharkhand’s former chief minister Madhu Koda in connection with alleged hawala transactions and illegal investments, continued for the third day today.
“Koda is at his residence here and raids and questioning are continuing,” a senior IT official told PTI.
He refused to comment whether Income Tax department would move Interpol to facilitate investigation into alleged hawala transactions in the wake of the department claiming of unearthing documents that suggested he had allegedly sent Rs 560 crore abroad.
The IT had on Saturday claimed that it had got evidence of Rs 2000 crore hawala transactions and illegal investments by Koda and his associates
