Bhopal, January 17: A day before Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Madhya Pradesh, ABVP today termed his scheduled visits to educational institutions as “politically motivated”.
“There was nothing wrong in Rahul’s interaction with students to know about their problems but for this the educational institutes should not be turned into politicking centres,” Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) General Secretary Vishnudutt Sharma said in a press release.
He said it was sad on the part of the management of universities and colleges to invite politicians to do “politicking” in educational centres.
Sharma said such interactions will do no good to students as they would be motivated politically. “It is only aimed to check party’s organisational decline,” he added.
He said that if other politicians too follow suit, teaching institutions will turn into politicking centres and study will take a back seat.
