Hyderabad, December 18: Mr. V.Hanumanth rao, Secretary A.I.C.C. and M.P. told that he is raising his voice against illegal possessions on Wakf properties and the injustices meted out to the Muslims. Instead of admitting its mistake, Lanco Hills have given me a warning of initiating legal proceedings against me and they are trying to blackmail me. He said that he is not afraid of threats. He told that he will not only make a complaint to Rahul Gandhi but he will also tell him to go to A.P. and inspect the deterioration of Muslim Wakf properties. He is also appealing Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy.
C.M. of A.P. to issue a white paper on Wakf properties. If the wrath of the Muslims is not stopped, they would be angry with congress. They are like backbone to congress. He expressed these thoughts while addressing a gathering at Press Club,Near Fateh Maidan. Former chairman of Minorities Commission, Mr. Yousuf Quraishi was also present in the meeting. Mr Hanumanth Rao said that in a press conference in New Delhi,he has already demanded to cancel the agreement with Lanco Hills and after imposing of fine amount, take back Wakf land and hand it over to the Muslims.
Lanco Hills officials are threatening me of legal action and dire conseruences. He said that he is prepared for facing the blackmail. He told that Mr. Rahul Gandhi has protested against the acquisition of farmers’ I and he is raising his voice against the injustices meted out to the Musilms. He said that he will produce all the documents of Wakf lands to Mr. Rahul Gandhi and request him to inspect Wakf Properties in A.P. which have been damaged. Documentary evidence of Wakf land given to Lance Hills is available. Then the principal secretary, Ms. Chaya Ratan (IAS) had also opposed this agreement. The purpose for which the land was allotted has not been fulfilled. They did not construct 1.7 park as was agreed in the lease deed. Violating the terms of agreement LANCO HILLS constructed flats and commercial complex and each flat was sold to 60Lakh rupees. He told that if the Wakf properties of the Muslims are protected properly, they won’t be indigent.
Mr. Hanumanth Rao appealed to Govt. of A.P. to conduct a survey of Wakf properties to know how much land is under the control of A.P. state wakf Board and how much land is illegally occupied by land grabbers. Wakf Properties were damaged on a mass scale during the tenure of Chandrababu Naidu and the same practice is being continued in congress Govt. also, which is causing the wrath among the Muslims. It is obligatory on the part of the Congress to remove this wrath otherwise it cost a lot to the party.
He promised that by presenting a report of the Wakf Properties to Ms. Sonia Gandhi and P.M. Dr. Manmohan Singh, he would request them to issue suitable instructions to state Govt. for the protection of Muslim properties.
