Lucknow, April 14: Stung by Rahul Gandhi’s scathing attack on Uttar Pradesh government today, ruling BSP termed the Congress leader’s speech during Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations as “misleading” and his programme as a “flop show”.
“It was a massive crowd of some one lakh in the BSP programme as compared to only 10,000 in the Congress rally nearby. It has unnerved Congress ‘yuvraj’ following which he did not even take the name of Ambedkar with due respect and this is most deplorable,” party state unit president Swami Prasad Maurya alleged in a statement.
Flagging off the ‘Chetna’ (awareness) Yatra here to mark 125 years of Congress party’s establishment, Rahul said, “The BSP government was turning its back on pro-poor schemes and still claims to be a pro-poor government.
